Fees and FAQs

Fees

Reasonable accommodation letters / school consultation / parent phone calls / additional services: fees vary depending on requirements (please enquire)

Payment is due by the day of the appointment. Payment can be made via bank transfer or Revolut payment. Cash payment is also accepted for in-person appointments. Outstanding payments must be made in advance of attending for follow-up appointments. Appointment fees are subject to change in line with fee adjustments. Clients will be notified in advance of any fee adjustments.

Lateness, cancellations, non-attendance:

Consistent engagement with therapy in accordance with the client’s care plan is important to ensure achievement of therapy goals. Please endeavour to attend regularly for your appointments, for the duration of your episode of care. When a client cancels or reschedules without giving sufficient notice, this prevents the appointment being offered to another client.
As this time has been set aside for the client’s care, a full fee will be charged in these instances:

Please contact me directly to cancel or reschedule your appointment in advance of the 48 hour window to avoid incurring the fee. Non-attendance and cancellation fees are the responsibility of the client to pay and must be paid prior to the next scheduled appointment. If you are running late for your appointment, please advise me by email.

There may be occasions where I am required to cancel or reschedule your appointment, owing to personal illness or emergency absence. I endeavour to be available for our therapy commitments, and am sorry for any inconvenience this may cause. In the event this occurs, I will endeavour to offer you another appointment as soon as availability allows.

Frequently Asked Questions

It can be confusing to know what mental health professional to choose for your child – Psychologists, Psychotherapists, Play Therapists or Occupational Therapist. There are so many options and often lots of recommendations that can feel confusing.

As a Mental Health Occupational Therapist, I take a holistic lens on the young person’s mental health, supporting them to overcome challenges while prioritising their authenticity, values and identity at the heart of our work together.

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is an evidence-based therapy that helps people process traumatic or distressing experiences. It reduces the emotional impact of difficult memories and supports healing.
You can self-refer to this service by contacting me directly by email or completing an enquiry through the Contact section. I also accept referrals from healthcare providers such as your GP.
Yes – this is so important! I offer a 15 minute introductory virtual call at no cost for all clients, to explain my role and philosophies. Where you are seeking individual therapy, your child can join this call too and this can help you both to make an informed decision about pursuing therapy with me.
The number of sessions varies for each person. Some clients benefit from short-term work, while others may choose ongoing support. We’ll discuss your goals in our first session and create a plan that works best for you.
Conditional confidentiality applies to all sessions. I explain to children and caregivers that the child’s therapy session is a safe space for them to explore personal challenges and the content of sessions is not disclosed to caregivers, unless agreed with the child for the purpose of feedback. However, in some instances, confidentiality cannot be maintained, such as when child protection concerns are disclosed in session. I am a mandated person and required to report child protection concerns to Tusla.
Written consent is requested as a requirement from both of the child’s legal guardians prior to their participation in therapy services. The assent of the child is also required.
It can be helpful to show your child pictures of me and the space that I work in, which are available on the website. Your child is encouraged to bring toys, teddies or fidgets that help them to self-regulate and feel safe. It is important to provide advance notice of the appointment to your child, and to explain the reason why they are coming to therapy.
